2011 - 2012 Program Year
Linking Generations is an Intergenerational Program that ‘bridges the gap' between the elderly and youth, filling an essential need for emotional connections between the two generations.
Linking Generations has grown quickly from one program in 2004 to the current four programs, which are linked with six different schools and five senior’s care facilities. Our programs open the door for youth and seniors from all ages, cultures, gender, and faith to connect in a meaningful way.
This past year, we touched the lives of 63 seniors who have formed a special link with 121 students. It is amazing how quickly Linking Generations has grown and how these links are making such a difference in the lives of both the seniors and youth.
The ongoing connections for both the junior and high school programs are leading to true caring and long-lasting relationships being formed.
