Our four junior high school programs offer what may be the first volunteer experience for youth. Our structured visits offers the opportunity for seniors and youth to connect in a safe, structured environment with the purpose of forming meaningful, caring relationships.
The seniors and students volunteer their lunch hours on a bi-weekly basis to participate in planned visits. These visits include time for the seniors and students to share their life experiences, their history, and their dreams. There are also many planned activities including games, crafts, and special visits such as the annual Family Social. Seniors are also invited to attend the school Christmas Concerts, a highlight of the year.
Seniors may not have anyone ~ this is my chance to be that
‘someone special’ in their lives.
